Before implementing Re:Drink, TUNAP used a returnable bottle system in the canteen. The bottles were included in the price of the meals, which seemed practical at first glance, but caused significant problems in practice. Storing the bottles took up valuable space and the logistics of reordering and returning empties caused around 40 minutes of additional work every day.
